Following a previous collaboration with Armenia-based Peter & Sons and the release of the intriguing slot Book of Books, on May 16, Yggdrasil, a Malta-based globally recognized iGaming provider, has once again joined forces with its longtime ally to officially release Barbarossa DoubleMax, a pirate-themed slot featuring the fictional pirate captain Barbarossa in Raiders of the Seven Seas and his treasure-hunting adventures.

True to its name, the main theme of the slot is the aforementioned pirate Barbarossa. The game takes place in the waters of a tropical beach, where the reels are also placed, with a large rock to the right where the bay ends. Slot features:
Wild symbol – the Wild, aka a W with a frame resembling a compass needle, replaces for all regular symbols except the Scatter.
Golden Bet – if the player chooses to pay 50% of the standard bet, they will activate this feature, which doubles the player’s chances of activating the Free Spins.
Wild Cascades – each win activates a cascade, which further causes the winning symbols to disappear from the reels and the Wild to be added to a random position before new symbols fill the grid. If players are able to create a new win, the winning symbols will be removed again while new ones are added.
The player will receive a 2x win multiplier on the first win, which is doubled for each consecutive win as mentioned above. The feature will last as long as the player creates new wins and the multiplier resets between spins in the base game.
Multiplier Jump – there’s a random chance for the multiplier to grow by one level. The feature may be activated 3 times in a row.
Free Spins – a combination of 3, 4 or 5 Scatters anywhere on the reels activates 7, 10 or 13 free spins. The win multiplier never resets between spins and the player can’t activate additional spins in the feature.
